Inició en Valledupar la tercera fase de la final nacional de los Juegos Intercolegiados 2023, con los deportes de conjunto de; baloncesto, fútbol de salón y voleibol masculino y femenino en la categoría juvenil, donde el Meta tiene tres Instituciones Educativas participando.
Este lunes festivo al inicio de la jornada, el equipo de fútbol de salón masculino juvenil, representado por la Institución Educativa la Holanda de Granada, perdió 2×1 ante su rival de Boyacá, ahora viene Caldas y Magdalena.
El voleibol femenino, del Colegio Departamental de la Esperanza, arrancó con pie derecho y superó a la representación de Magdalena 3×0, esperando este martes a Santander y el miércoles al Huila.
Por su parte los hombres juveniles también en voleibol del Colegio Santo Domingo Savio de Acacías, enfrentó a su similar de la Guajira, ganando 3×1, en la segunda fecha actuará frente a Amazonas y cierra su participación ante Santander.
Quedan en la capital del vallenato, dos días de competencia y el Meta, con el respaldo de la Gobernación a través del Instituto de Deporte y Recreación (Idermeta), espera ubicarse en los primeros lugares de cada torneo y así, continuar haciendo historia en los Juegos Intercolegiados que organiza el Ministerio del Deporte Colombiano.
