- En la mañana del 4 de julio de 2025, en el casco urbano del municipio de Calamar, departamento del Guaviare, tropas del Ejército Nacional que adelantaban labores de patrullaje perimétrico fueron objeto de un ataque con artefacto explosivo improvisado instalado en una motocicleta estacionada en vía pública, el cual fue detonado de manera remota, en lo que podría tratarse de una modalidad tipo moto bomba.
- La explosión generó una fuerte onda detonante que afectó a una unidad militar que desarrollaba tareas de control territorial y protección de la población. Un suboficial y cinco soldados resultaron con heridas leves y fueron evacuados de inmediato al centro médico del municipio, donde reciben atención especializada y se encuentran fuera de peligro.
- Gracias a la reacción oportuna de las tropas y a las medidas de seguridad implementadas, se evitó una mayor afectación al personal militar, a la población civil y a la infraestructura del sector. Se activaron los protocolos de seguridad y verificación del área, y se adelantan las investigaciones correspondientes para identificar a los responsables. Las operaciones militares continúan en la zona.
- Este acto terrorista habría sido perpetrado por integrantes del grupo armado organizado residual Subestructura 44 Antonio Ricaurte. La acción criminal habría sido ordenada por alias Jimmy, presunto cabecilla de esta estructura, y ejecutada por alias Chuky, señalado como explosivista del grupo.
- La Cuarta División del Ejército Nacional rechaza de manera categórica este acto terrorista, que constituye una flagrante infracción al derecho internacional humanitario, al emplear métodos indiscriminados que ponen en riesgo a la población civil y a quienes trabajan por la seguridad del país.
- El Comando de la Cuarta División reafirma su compromiso inquebrantable con la defensa del territorio nacional y la protección de todos los colombianos. Agradecemos la solidaridad de la comunidad y reiteramos que nuestras tropas seguirán cumpliendo su misión con valentía, respeto por los derechos humanos y presencia firme en el suroriente del país, trabajando día y noche por la seguridad y la tranquilidad de quienes habitan esta región.
